It is the goal of GSC that every student have an opportunity to be successful. The college endeavors to provide confidential support, information and advocacy for all students.
Good Samaritan College employs a College Compliance Officer whose only job is to advocate for students. The College Compliance Officer (CCO), under the direction of the College President, is principally responsible for development, implementation, operation, and oversight of a college-wide compliance program(s) to ensure the institution’s full adherence to the legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations imposed by all levels of government and other oversight agencies including educational accrediting bodies. Examples of such laws and regulations include, but are not limited to: Title IX, Violence Against Women Act of 2013, Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1975, Title II of the American for Disabilities Act (ADA), Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act (Clery Act), the Discrimination Act of 1975, the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). As such the CCO is the identified Title IX Coordinator and 504 Coordinator. The CCO as well as the Campus Saftey Survey Administrator will partner with the other officers of the college to ensure all federal laws and regulations and institutional policies and procedures are followed.
