The focus of the College Board of Trustees this year centered on providing its guidance to the President and the college administration. The Board focused on two important strategic initiatives for the college; facilities needs assessment and a proposal to develop graduate programs. The Board monitored and received reports on the progress of the two new programs (Associate of Science in Health Science (ASHS) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees). The activities of the College are extensive. With admissions and graduation twice each year, we implement our academic plan twice each year as well. Student orientation and activities go on throughout the year. The college submitted application to the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for specialized accreditation of the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) program. The required self-study and campus visit was completed with a recommendation for full accreditation. Along with the accreditation activities, the college graduated its first six BSN students. Significant progress in course management technology for the offering of hybrid and online courses were implemented.
