Nursing Goals
The aim of the Nursing Program is to educate professional nurses prepared to meet
the health care needs of a changing society. As a result of participation in the
Program and its related activities, the graduate is prepared to:

Respect the uniqueness and dignity of self and others.

Integrate the principles of biological, physical, and psychosocial sciences in the
promotion of optimal wellness.

Interact with individuals and groups using interpersonal and communication skills
to bring about changed behavior.

Collaborate with individuals and groups in order to meet human needs at various
stages of the life cycle.

Apply the nursing process in the administration of nursing care to individuals and
groups.

Pursue professional and personal growth and community involvement.

Function as a beginning staff nurse who is committed to the profession and
contributes to the delivery of healthcare services.
